Astros' Valdez Scratched with Elbow Soreness, Henley Called Up
Houston Astros scratched All-Star left-hander Framber Valdez from his start against the Texas Rangers due to left elbow soreness, with the 30-year-old being sent back to Houston for further evaluation. General manager Dana Brown expressed minimal concern about the injury, and right-hander Blair Henley was called up from Triple-A Sugar Land to make his major league debut in place of Valdez.
