Independent research led by Pennsylvania State University has found that Cytovale's IntelliSep sepsis test is both cost-effective and slightly more accurate than procalcitonin testing, a widely available biomarker diagnostic for sepsis. The study predicts that over 95% of sepsis patients could survive at a cost of less than $4000 per patient using the IntelliSep test.
