Two siblings, 8-year-old Zafira Serrano and 4-year-old Paul "PJ" Serrano, who disappeared from a skate park during a supervised visit with their biological parents have been safely located by Polk County sheriff's officials. An "endangered person advisory" was issued by the Iowa Department of Public Safety on Saturday morning, and the children were found on Saturday afternoon.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is searching for Zafira Serrano, 8, and her 4-year-old brother Paul “PJ” Serrano, who were taken by their biological parents during a supervised visit at a roller skating rink in Des Moines. The parents do not have custody of the children due to a temporary court order. The children were originally listed as endangered but are no longer believed to be in danger. Anyone with information is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
