Intel Unveils Arrow Lake Refresh with Enhanced Core Ultra CPUs and a Binary Optimizer
Intel today announced the Arrow Lake Refresh desktop CPUs: Core Ultra 5 250K Plus (6P+12E, 30 MB L3, up to 5.30 GHz, DDR5-7200 support) and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus (8P+16E, 36 MB L3, up to 5.50 GHz, DDR5-7200). They are drop-in compatible with existing 800-series motherboards (with some UEFI updates) and feature a faster die-to-die I/O frequency. Pricing is $199 and $299 respectively, with a March 26, 2026 launch. Intel also introduced the Binary Optimization Tool to optimize binaries for Arrow Lake-S to maximize performance, and 4-rank DDR5 CUDIMM support will require motherboard firmware updates.
