AT&T Offers $5 Credits to Customers Affected by Network Outage
AT&T will provide a $5 bill credit to thousands of customers affected by a widespread cellphone service outage last week, which drew an investigation from the FCC, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security. The company attributed the outage to an incorrect process during network expansion and stated that the credit may take two bill cycles to apply, excluding prepaid, business, and Cricket Wireless customers. AT&T also expressed apologies and commitment to preventing similar outages in the future.
