"Israeli School Fosters Unity Among Arab and Jewish Students"
Hand in Hand is a bilingual school in Jerusalem that brings together Arab and Jewish students to foster understanding and empathy. Founded in 1998, the school aims to create a fifth track of education within the Israeli school system and currently has six campuses with around 2,000 students. The school's multicultural curriculum includes bilingual classes and aims to promote empathy, understanding, and shared identities among its students. Despite facing challenges and past attacks, the school remains a rare oasis of freedom and safety for its students, providing a unique opportunity for Arab and Jewish children to learn and grow together.
