A Palestinian-American man was stabbed in the back in Austin, Texas, in what police are calling a bias-motivated incident after attending a protest in support of Gaza. The victim, Zacharia Doar, 23, was attacked while sitting in a car, and the police have arrested a suspect, Bert James Baker, who has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The attack is being reviewed as a hate crime, and the victim, now home from the hospital, faces a recovery period of at least six weeks.
