Fatal Police Chase Ends in St. Joseph Crash, Leaving One Dead

A 34-year-old man from Benton Harbor, Michigan, died after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash in St. Joseph. The chase began when the driver swerved in front of a police cruiser and sped away. After losing sight of the vehicle on I-94, a deputy spotted it again on Lakeshore Drive. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed, resulting in his ejection and death at the scene. The man's identity has not been released.

Father's Day shooting suspect dies in jail

The suspect in the murder of his stepmother on Father's Day, 60-year-old David Lee Mabry, has died in the Berrien County jail. He was found unresponsive in his cell and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Michigan State Police are investigating his death. Mabry had been charged with open murder and felony firearm in the death of his stepmother. Newly obtained court documents reveal that Mabry shot his stepmother in the head after an argument, and then fled the scene.
