Blanchett Takes Valka to Berk in Live-Action Dragon 2
Cate Blanchett will reprise Valka in the live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2, a sequel set five years after the first film that follows a 20-year-old Hiccup and his friends as they encounter Valka and battle a madman who wants to conquer the world with a dragon army. Dean DeBlois is writing and directing the project, and Universal and DreamWorks have scheduled a June 11, 2027 theatrical release following his helm of the 2025 live-action remake.
