Benito the Giraffe Finds New Home in Central Mexico
Benito the giraffe has successfully settled into a wildlife preserve in southern Mexico after leaving a park in Ciudad Juarez where living conditions sparked public outcry. The more than 1,200-mile journey was accompanied by social media updates and a festive farewell. Benito now has more space, proper diet, and veterinary care, and will join a herd of seven giraffes to potentially mate and help preserve the vulnerable species. Animal advocates are celebrating their victory and emphasizing the importance of united efforts in protecting animals.
