Northern Colombia plane crash leaves 15 dead, including a lawmaker
A Satena passenger plane (Beechcraft 1900) crashed in northern Colombia, killing all 15 people on board. Flight NSE 8849, from Cucuta to Ocaña, lost contact about 11 minutes before its scheduled landing; wreckage was located in a mountainous area. Among the passengers were a lawmaker and a congressional candidate. A search operation, aided by security forces, is ongoing in terrain near ELN-controlled zones.
