"Intel's Next-Gen CPUs: More Cores, Higher Clocks, and New Architecture"
Intel is reportedly developing Beast Lake desktop processors with an extreme focus on single-core performance and absurd clock speeds to challenge AMD's 3D V-Cache (X3D) chips in gaming. The rumored silicon is in early development and may arrive in 2026, with a possible design of 10 extra big cores or 4 extra big cores plus 32 efficiency cores. Intel's strategy for desktop CPUs is to have massive gains in future generations down the road while settling for a simple Raptor Lake refresh in the near term.
