Bear Captured at Disney World's Magic Kingdom, to be Relocated to Ocala National Forest
A bear sighting at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park prompted the closure of several rides and attractions. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission safely captured an adult female black bear and will relocate it to an area in or around the Ocala National Forest. Bears are more active during the fall as they search for food to prepare for winter. The park has since reopened Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland. If encountering a bear in the wild, it is advised to give it space and never approach or feed it.
