"WWII-Era Practice Bomb Discovered on Santa Cruz Beach"
A World War II-era practice bomb was found on the shore of Pajaro Dunes in Watsonville, California, following heavy waves. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office and ordnance experts from Travis Air Force Base confirmed the bomb was inactive and safe to remove. The inert device, identified as a Mark 15, Mod 2, is now in the custody of the Air Force to prevent future concerns.
