"Baylor Bears Debut in $200M Foster Pavilion with Victory and Fanfare"
The Baylor Bears basketball teams have inaugurated their new Foster Pavilion arena, located on the banks of the Brazos River, with the men's team securing a win in their first game at the venue. Despite some parts of the $212 million facility still under construction, the arena was game-ready, offering a 7,000-seat capacity with additional standing room. The move aims to provide student-athletes, especially seniors, the chance to play in a state-of-the-art venue and to give the teams a competitive home-court advantage. The women's team is set to debut against TCU in the new arena, while the Ferrell Center will continue to serve other sports and as a practice facility for basketball.
