Chicago Woman Held on $800K Bond for String of Bat Attacks and Car Attempts
Denise Solorzano, a woman suffering from mental health issues, was charged with attacking multiple women with a bat and a vehicle in broad daylight across several neighborhoods in Chicago. She was ordered to be held on $800,000 bond, $100,000 for each victim she is charged with attacking. Solorzano's family said she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and has sought treatment for years. She was charged with aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault involving a vehicle. The judge ruled Solorzano was a danger to herself and the community, and her next court date is set for May 17.
