Motörhead’s Phil Campbell dies at 64, leaving a lasting rock legacy
Former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell died at 64 after a long battle following a complex major operation. Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and played on 16 studio albums, later becoming the band's sole guitarist after Würzel left in 1995. After Lemmy’s passing, he formed Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, releasing material including 2023’s Kings Of The Abyss and his 2019 solo Old Lions Still Roar. Tributes poured in from Mikkey Dee, Doro Pesch and others, celebrating his enduring influence on rock and his family’s ongoing musical legacy.
