
Basketball Legend George McGinnis Passes Away at 73
George McGinnis, a former NBA player and Hall of Famer, has passed away at the age of 73. McGinnis played three seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, helping them win the 1977 Eastern Conference title. Known for his distinctive one-handed jumper, McGinnis was considered a predecessor to modern-day powerful forwards. The Indiana Pacers, where McGinnis also played and had his number retired, expressed their condolences and described him as an Indiana basketball legend. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
