British skydiver Nathy Odinson, 33, died in Thailand after his parachute failed to deploy during a base jump from a 29-storey tower block in Pattaya. The accident, which occurred as he attempted the jump into the street below, was captured on video by a friend. Odinson, who had been working at a skydiving school in Pattaya, was pronounced dead at the scene, and an investigation into the incident has been launched by Thai authorities.
