Sandy Hook Families Propose $85 Million Settlement to Resolve Alex Jones' $1.5 Billion Legal Debt

Sandy Hook families, who won nearly $1.5 billion in legal judgments against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for calling the 2012 Connecticut school shooting a hoax, have offered to settle the debt for at least $85 million over 10 years. The families' lawyers accused Jones of failing to curb his spending and preserve the value of his holdings. They offered Jones two options: liquidate his estate or pay them at least $8.5 million a year for 10 years, plus 50% of any income over $9 million per year. Jones' personal bankruptcy lawyer argued that the settlement offer was too high. If Jones doesn't accept the offer, the court will determine the amount he will pay the families and other creditors.

Erika Jayne Claps Back at Jon Hamm Over Expensive Earrings Controversy

Erika Jayne fired back at Jon Hamm after he called on her to return the $750K earrings her estranged husband Tom Girardi purchased for her using allegedly embezzled funds. Jayne surrendered the jewelry but recently scored a legal win when a court determined the earrings were not part of the estate impacted by Girardi's bankruptcy case. During an appearance on a podcast, Jayne criticized Hamm for not knowing the facts and said she had won on appeal. The controversy surrounding the earrings involves allegations of embezzlement and a court ruling that they should not have been remanded by the bankruptcy trustee.
