A French Open doubles team, Miyu Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi, was disqualified after Kato hit a ballgirl near her head while swatting a ball off the court. The incident occurred between points, and despite Kato's apology, the umpire issued a warning and eventually disqualified the team. The opposing team, Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo, were shaken up by the incident but went on to win the match. This incident is reminiscent of Novak Djokovic's disqualification from the 2020 U.S. Open for hitting a lineswoman with a ball.
