Twins' Pitching and Aggressive Play Lead to Victory over Guardians.
The Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Guardians 1-0 in a game where runs were at a premium. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli made several aggressive pitching decisions, including pulling starting pitcher Bailey Ober after only 78 pitches with a shutout intact and requesting two key relievers make multi-inning appearances. The Twins needed every one of their four pitchers to be at top form in a contest where runs were at a premium. Byron Buxton will miss a few days with sore ribs instead of landing on the injured list.
