Multiple Fires Displace Residents and Injure Two in Texas
A massive fire at the ICON Apartments in San Antonio has injured two people, destroyed the homes of more than a dozen occupants, and killed several pets. Firefighters made several balcony rescues and got the fire under control in roughly 25 minutes. The cause of the fire is not immediately clear, but residents claim a lightning strike was the likely cause of the blaze. The whole building is now out of commission, and apartment managers and the Red Cross are working to find a place for the displaced residents. An investigation is ongoing.
