English actress Samantha Clinch, known for her role as Eloise Midgen in the Harry Potter films, revealed that she was paid £35 ($43) a day as a background actor, which equates to £2.5 ($3.09) an hour. She jokingly mentioned that her pay doubled to £70 ($86) a day when she got the speaking role. Despite the low pay, she noted that the constant stream of food on set made up for it.
