Prabhas-starrer "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire" has outperformed "Baahubali: The Beginning" in North American box office earnings, reaching US $8.6 million in just 13 days. However, it's unlikely to beat the record of "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" which stands at US $10.6 million. "Salaar" is facing a decline in daily collections and competition from other films, with projections suggesting it will end its run with US $9.5 to US $10.5 million. A sequel, "Salaar - Shouryanga Parvam," has been confirmed for release by the end of 2025.

The sequel focuses more on the title character and his brother, as well as their stepmother Nandini and rival Madhuranthakan. While the film may not stand out from other recent mytho-historic epics, it is still a satisfying conclusion to the sprawling narrative.
