AI upscaling boost arrives for Xbox Ally X in April
Microsoft will roll out Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR) to the ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds in April 2026, delivering a roughly 30% FPS boost on 1440p Ultra when docked (Forza Horizon 5 example shows 38fps rising to about 51fps) and highlighting AI upscaling similar to DLSS; the feature was previewed at GDC 2026.
