The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is preparing for a potential record-breaking day on Monday, with over 35,000 people expected to depart following the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Travelers are advised to allow extra time due to possible highway congestion and can drop off guests at the lower-level curbside arrivals area if the upper-level departures curb is busy. Those not checking bags or flying internationally can use mobile boarding passes or kiosks instead of going to the airline ticket counters. New screening equipment eliminates the need to remove laptops, electronics, or liquids from carry-ons. Passengers traveling with Allegiant or Frontier should head to the South Terminal via U.S. Hwy. 183 to Burleson Road.
