The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the death of an audio specialist, Duane Tabinski, who was electrocuted during setup for NASCAR's Chicago Street Race Course. Tabinski, hired by NASCAR to produce audio for pre-race celebrations, was found slumped over in an area with high-voltage electricity. OSHA has opened a fatality inspection with Point Source LLC, a subcontractor of NASCAR. An autopsy confirmed accidental contact with electrical wires as the cause of death.
