WVU Safety Aubrey Burks Injured in Collision, Taken to Hospital
West Virginia University safety Aubrey Burks suffered a potentially serious injury after being kneed in the head while covering a punt during the game against TCU. Burks was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The nature of his injury and potential treatment have not been disclosed. Burks, a junior safety and a key player for WVU, had recorded 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and two pass breakups prior to the game.
