"New Members Appointed to College Football Playoff Selection Committee"
The College Football Playoff (CFP) Management Committee has appointed University of Michigan Athletics Director Warde Manuel as the new selection committee chair for the 2024 football season, replacing Boo Corrigan. Additionally, six new members, including Carla Williams, athletics director at the University of Virginia, have been appointed to the CFP Selection Committee, while the term of Will Shields has been extended. The committee is responsible for ranking the 25 teams in the playoff and assigning the top 12 participants to the playoff bracket.
