"Rockies Introduce New Streaming Platform for 2024 Baseball Season"

The Colorado Rockies have launched Rockies.tv, an online streaming service that will show all of the team's games this season, with MLB producing and distributing the games and removing blackouts for fans in the Rockies' traditional TV territory. Prices for Rockies.tv range from $19.99 per month for Rockies games only to $39.99 per month for a package including MLB.tv. Details regarding the ability to watch games on traditional cable channels are yet to be announced. AT&T SportsNet Mountain Rocky Mountain, which had televised Rockies games since 1997, shut down last December, and MLB has stepped in to produce and distribute games for other teams as well.

Pittsburgh sports broadcasting icon Stan Savran passed away at the age of 76. Savran, who battled diabetes and lung cancer, worked until his last day and was known for his genuine, kind, and welcoming personality both on and off the air. He was a beloved figure in Pittsburgh and will be deeply missed by colleagues, fans, and listeners.

Altitude TV and Comcast settle lawsuit, but cable subscribers still can't access RSN.

Altitude TV and Comcast have settled a lawsuit, but the two sides remain at an impasse that will continue to keep Avalanche and Nuggets games blacked out in Colorado. The settlement did not include an agreement to bring Altitude TV back to Comcast’s platforms. Altitude TV is available on DirecTV and FuboTV, but remains off the air on both Comcast and Dish Network. AT&T SportsNet also recently announced it would no longer send rights payments to the Rockies for games it airs on the RSN.
