St. Louis Assistant Circuit Attorney Dies in Fiery I-270 Crash.
James K. Heitman, an assistant circuit attorney in St. Louis, died in a fiery car crash on I-270 in south St. Louis County. Heitman, 32, struck the rear of one of the three vehicles in the third lane, causing a chain reaction and starting a fire that engulfed three of the vehicles. One driver suffered minor injuries, while two drivers were uninjured.
