A 30-year-old woman from Queens was arrested for abandoning her newborn girl at Penn Station in Manhattan, where the baby was found near a drain with the umbilical cord still attached. The woman admitted to giving birth before leaving the infant in a busy passageway, and the baby was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
