One of the creators of the Restored Content DLC for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords has debunked rumors that Aspyr Media cancelled the DLC due to not wanting to give credit to modders. The creator stated that Aspyr was great to work with and offered to credit the whole team long before they even asked about it. The cause for the DLC's cancellation is still unknown.

Devs cancel Star Wars KOTOR 2 DLC, offer free games as apology.

One of the original programmers of the Restored Content mod for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords, zbyl2, has said that Aspyr Media "did nothing wrong" when it cancelled the highly-anticipated DLC for Nintendo Switch. The modder also clarified that the cancellation had nothing to do with the "higher ups not wanting to give credit to the modding team". Some players are still unhappy and believe they should be offered "at least a partial refund".

KOTOR II DLC Cancelled for Switch

Aspyr Media has announced that the Nintendo Switch port of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II will not receive the promised Restored Content DLC. Instead, the company is offering free Star Wars game keys as a consolation prize. The DLC was a fan-made mod that incorporated parts of the game that were cut from its original release. Aspyr's Switch port of KOTOR II was also incomplete at launch, but the developer issued a fix the following month.
