
Billionaire James Crown dies in Colorado racetrack accident.
James Crown, a prominent businessman and philanthropist from Chicago, died in a car crash at Aspen Motorsports Park in Colorado. The 70-year-old billionaire suffered blunt force trauma after hitting an impact barrier. Crown was a member of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago and recently helped launch an initiative to reduce crime in the city. He was also the owner of the Aspen Skiing Company. Crown and his wife had just attended a state dinner at the White House last week.
