Tigers Cut Loose Multiple Players from Minor League Roster
The Detroit Tigers have released catcher Andrew Knapp and right-hander Ashton Goudeau, both of whom were signed to minor league deals. Pitchers Miguel Del Pozo and Kervin Castro, who underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this year, have also been released. Knapp, the most experienced of the group, had been in Triple-A all year. Goudeau struggled in Triple-A with a 7.42 ERA. Del Pozo and Castro will be out of action for the remainder of this season and much of 2024. All four players will now look for new opportunities in the open market.
