Blizzard has released the official stats for the Diablo 4 beta, revealing that the world boss, Ashava, killed over 10 million players while only 107,000 players managed to defeat her, resulting in a 94:1 kill death ratio. The Butcher also proved to be a tough enemy, with 1.7 million player deaths compared to 576,000 losses. The most played classes were Sorcerer and Necromancer, and 2.6 million players reached the requirements for the baby wolf backpack.

Blizzard has allowed Diablo fans to preload the open beta for Diablo IV, which is scheduled to run for three days this weekend. The preload is 84 GB, or 42 GB without the high-resolution texture pack. To commemorate the open beta, Blizzard has revealed its World Bosses, with the first one being Ashava, a gruesome monster with razor-sharp claws elongating from her wrists. Ashava will spawn four times over the course of the weekend. Diablo IV's open beta starts at 9 a.m. PT on Friday, March 17 and ends at 12 p.m. PT on Sunday, March 19.
