"New Leadership: Promoting Diversity and Housing Expansion at Boston and Tufts Universities"
Melissa L. Gilliam, the executive vice president and provost of The Ohio State University, has been named the 11th president of Boston University. Gilliam, a physician and scholar with a background in obstetrics and gynecology, brings two decades of higher education leadership experience and a passion for the arts and humanities. She is known for her work in promoting adolescent health and well-being and her commitment to diversity and inclusion. Gilliam will assume her new role on July 1, 2024.
