Microsoft Developing Smaller ARM-Powered Surface Pro and Surface Go 4

Microsoft is reportedly developing a smaller Surface Pro with an 11-inch display and an Arm-powered Surface Go 4 model. The smaller Surface Pro is codenamed Luxor and will be similar in size and shape to the Surface Go. The Surface Go 4 is said to ship with a chip based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7c and may include 5G support for the first time. Both tablets are unlikely to ship before the fall, and we might be waiting until early next year to see Microsoft’s latest smaller Surface tablets.

Microsoft Developing ARM-based Surface Go 4 and 11-inch Surface Pro

Microsoft is reportedly working on an ARM-powered Surface Go 4, codenamed Tanta, which will feature a Snapdragon 7c-based SoC and may offer 5G connectivity. The company is also said to be developing an 11-inch Surface Pro, codenamed Luxor, with slimmer bezels and a 120Hz display. Both devices are expected to ship later this year, but timing is still uncertain. Microsoft's interest in smaller tablets may be due to recent tablet optimizations in Windows 11, with more touch-friendly features expected in future updates.
