Google and Qualcomm have announced the release of an optimized version of Chrome for Windows on Arm, providing faster native browsing for users with Arm-based processors. This release precedes the launch of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processors for Windows, and while the optimized Chrome will technically run on any Arm-based Windows PC, Qualcomm is currently the sole manufacturer of such processors for Windows. This move could significantly benefit Windows on Arm, especially as consumer-focused Surface devices are expected to fully transition to Arm architecture.
