Forte Triumphs in Florida Derby with Pletcher's Guidance.
Forte won the Florida Derby (G1) by one length, despite drawing Post 11 and traveling wide on the far turn. Angel of Empire won the Arkansas Derby (G1) by 4 1/4 lengths, overcoming a moderate pace and opening up in the stretch run. Both horses are now contenders for the Kentucky Derby.
