Apple plans to sell its Vision Pro headset on an appointment-only basis at launch, with designated sections in stores for customers to try on the headset. Customers will need to schedule an appointment to purchase the headset, ensuring proper fit and offering prescription lens inserts if needed. Apple is developing an iPhone app and physical machine for face scanning to ensure the right light seal. Online orders will require lens prescription and head scan data. The headset will launch in the US in early 2024 and gradually roll out to other countries.
