Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claims to have tested the upcoming Meta Quest 3 headset, which is said to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor, the Quest 2, and may be more focused on mixed reality (MR). The Quest 3 features triple "vertical pill-shaped sensor areas" on its front panel, with two housing "dual RGB cameras" and the remaining cut-out for a depth sensor. However, the Quest 3's display and VR clarity do not seem to have any tangible generational improvement, and it may fall short of its rumored impending rival, the first-gen "Apple Reality" headset, in terms of advanced head- and eye-tracking features.
