Microsoft PowerToys has introduced a new feature called Crop and Lock, allowing users to crop app windows to display specific details. The feature offers two modes: a non-interactive Thumbnail crop that provides a live feed of the selected area, and a Reparent mode that allows for more interactivity but may have compatibility issues with certain apps. Crop and Lock is available for Windows 11 and Windows 10 v2004 or newer. However, there are some known issues, such as difficulties cropping maximized or full-screen windows and certain apps reacting poorly to being cropped.
