
Tragic Fire Claims Dozens of Lives in Vietnam Apartment Building
A fire in a nine-story apartment block in Hanoi, Vietnam, has claimed the lives of at least 56 people, including children, and injured 37 others. The fire, which broke out during the night, was contained by early morning. Some victims sustained multiple injuries after jumping from windows to escape. The owner of the building has been detained for violating fire-prevention regulations, and an investigation is underway. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for stricter fire regulations in small-sized apartment buildings and densely populated residential areas.
