Combatting Campus Antisemitism: Addressing Root Causes and Ensuring Student Safety
A longitudinal survey conducted by the ADL Center for Antisemitism Research, Hillel International, and College Pulse reveals concerning trends in campus antisemitism. The survey found that 73% of Jewish college students surveyed have experienced or witnessed some form of antisemitism since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year alone, compared to 43.9% of non-Jewish students. Jewish students also reported feeling less safe and comfortable on campus, with a significant decrease in the percentage of Jewish students feeling comfortable with others knowing they are Jewish. The survey highlights the urgent need for universities to address antisemitism and create a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
