Rise in Antisemitic Crimes Sparks Concern in Beverly Hills
A suspect, Jarris Jay Silagi, has been charged in the violent assault and robbery of a Jewish couple in Beverly Hills. Silagi allegedly struck a 75-year-old man with a belt buckle, causing him to bleed, and then attempted to rob the man's wife while making antisemitic statements. His bail has been set at $1.3 million, and his next court date is scheduled for December 17. The attack is the latest in a series of incidents targeting the Jewish community since the conflict between Israel and Hamas in October.
