Deadly Maoist Attack Kills 10 Police Officers and Driver in Chhattisgarh
Ten policemen and a driver were killed in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district. The attack involved a 50-kg improvised explosive device that left a massive hole on the road and uprooted trees. The policemen were travelling in a rented mini-van that offered no ballistic protection. The Maoists may have used 10 times the quantity of explosives to target the van. The DRG team was returning after conducting an anti-Maoist operation when the attack happened.
