Maynard James Keenan, the lead singer of Tool, protested Florida's new anti-drag ban by appearing on stage in drag during the band's Daytona Beach gig. The law, signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, prohibits minors from attending drag shows among other anti-trans policies. Keenan's protest took place at an all-ages festival, meaning he was technically in breach of the new law. Other musicians, including Lizzo and Hayley Williams, have also spoken out against similar legislation in Tennessee.
