"Arrest Made in Brutal Venice Canals Attacks"
Anthony Jones, 29, has been charged with two counts of forcible rape, one count of sexual penetration by force, and other serious charges for brutally attacking and sexually assaulting two women in separate incidents along the Venice canals. The attacks were described as "reprehensible" by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón. One victim was nearly beaten to death before being sexually assaulted. Jones is being held on $3.25 million bail, and if convicted, he could face a life sentence in prison.
